Samantha Silva (she/her) is an author and screenwriter based in Idaho. She’s sold film projects to Paramount, Universal, and New Line Cinema. Her debut novel, Mr. Dickens and His Carol, was published by Flatiron Books (2017), followed by Love and Fury: A Novel of Mary Wollstonecraft in 2021. Her work appears in LitHub and One Story. She was an Idaho Commission on the Arts Literary Fellow (2020) and a 2022 Bread Loaf Literary Fellow. Braden joined Seattle Rep in 2002 and held several positions on the artistic staff before his appointment as Artistic Director 2015. An accomplished director, he has directed many productions for Seattle Rep, most recently: True West, The Great Moment (premiere); A Doll’s House, Part 2; Last of the Boys; Ibsen in Chicago (premiere); Well; Luna Gale; and A View from the Bridge. Other productions include: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, A Great Wilderness (premiere), The Glass Menagerie, Clybourne Park, and the critically acclaimed, extended runs of Photograph 51; My Name is Rachel Corrie (U.S. regional premiere); and Betrayal. Braden directed the West Coast premieres of This (Seattle Rep), The K of D, an urban legend (Seattle Rep, Pistol Cat, FringeNYC, Illusion Theatre), Breakin’ Hearts and Takin’ Names, Opus (Seattle Rep), and White Hot (Marxiano Productions/West of Lenin). Scott Bradley has designed for Seattle Rep and credits it as one of his favorite theaters for which he is challenged with such new plays as A Great Wilderness, Photograph 51, and Clybourne Park, all directed by Braden Abraham, as well as August Wilson’s original production of Seven Guitars and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, and revived favorites such as A View from the Bridge, Pygmalion, and Mary Zimmerman’s The Notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci. Currently enjoying its 30 year revival of the same is now at The Shakespeare Theater in Washington, DC and soon to be at Old Globe Theater in San Diego. Recently he designed Pride and Prejudice, the inaugural production of new Artistic Director of St. Louis Rep, Hana Sharif, and His Eye is On the Sparrow for Portland Stage.  In New York he earned a Tony nomination and the Drama Desk Award for Best Set Design of Seven Guitars, a Drama Desk Award for Joe Turner's Come and Gone, and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Sarah Ruhl’s Eurydice. 

Catherine Meacham Hunt is a two-time Theatre Puget Sound Design Award winner, recipient of the Southeastern Theatre Design Award, Los Angeles Drama-Logue Award, San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Award, and was an inaugural Theatre Communications Group Design Fellow. Cathy has designed costumes for over 100 theater and opera productions. Her work has been seen at the Hartford Stage, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, New Victory Theatre, Cincinnati Opera, Pittsburg Opera, Seattle Opera, The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Rep, Seattle Children's Theatre, LA Theatre Works, Intiman Playhouse, ACT Theatre, Village Theatre, Childsplay, and Clarence Brown Theatre. Cathy has been a guest lecturer at the University of Washington and Cornish College of the Arts. She holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design from University of California, San Diego.

Marcus Doshi is an international theater maker and designer. Broadway credits include Linda Vista (2019) and Pass Over (2021, also Amazon Film). Work Off-Broadway includes a longstanding collaboration with Theatre for a New Audience. Work has encompassed most major regional theater and opera in the US. In Chicago, he is a frequent collaborator with Steppenwolf. Internationally, in 18 countries across five continents; notably La Traviata (Lyric Opera of Chicago, Canadian Opera Company, Minnesota Opera, Houston Grand Opera); Les Mamelles de Tirésias (Aldeburgh Music, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence; La Monnaie Brussels, Dutch National Opera, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia Valencia); The Wreckers (Houston Grand Opera); Don Giovanni (Santa Fe Opera); amongst many others. Judith Shahn has been coaching at Seattle Rep for almost 40 years! Some favorites: The Road to Mecca, Private Lives, A View from the Bridge, Bo-nita, The Brothers Size, The Children, The Cook. ACT Theatre: she has coached many productions of A Christmas Carol and other favorites include: The Thin Place, Oslo, Tribes, Dracula, Skylight in recent years. At Intiman: premiere of Angels in America (both productions), The Kentucky Cycle, The American Cycle. Other theaterss: Seattle Children’s Theatre, Seattle Opera, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Portland Stage, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Utah Shakespearean Festival, Shakespeare & Company. Judith retired 6 years ago after teaching Voice, Speech, and Dialects at the University of Washington for 26 years. She currently teaches winter quarter in the UW School of Law. Paul (he/him) is a dramaturg originally from Seattle. Prior to joining Seattle Rep, Paul worked at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Asolo Repertory Theatre. As a dramaturg, Paul has worked with Arena Stage, Hartford Stage, Ashland New Plays Festival, among other theaters. He was a founding producer of the UMass New Play Lab and served as a Fulbright Fellow at the University of the Western Cape in Cape Town, South Africa. Paul's writing has been published in Theatre Journal, on howlround.com, and by Penumbra Theatre Company. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. 

Amy (she/her) is happy to be back at Seattle Rep after previously working on What the Constitution Means to Me, A Raisin in the Sun, Well, A Thousand Splendid Suns, and multiple Public Works productions. Other credits include Mrs. Doubtfire, Annie, Ragtime (The 5th Avenue Theatre); The Elixir of Love, Carmen, AIDA (Seattle Opera); Black Beauty, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Seattle Children's Theatre); among others at ACT Theatre, Book-It Repertory Theatre, and Village Theatre. Amy also works in Stage Management and as a Teaching Artist, specializing in Creative Drama.

Ruth is grateful to be back creating and performing shows in person. Her previous Seattle Rep credits include Fannie: The Music and Life of Fannie Lou Hamer, and Public Works' The Winter's Tale. Her main artistic home has been at ACT for the past 14 years, where her recent credits include Sweat, Romeo + Juliet, Oslo, and Dracula, as well as six years of A Christmas Carol. Around town Ruth has also worked with The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Book-It Repertory Theatre, and Seattle Children’s Theatre. She was the recipient of the 2018 Melissa Hines Backstage Award, and is proud to have been a company member and production manager with New Century Theatre Company.

Lucas Esperanza (he/him) is a Filipino-American theater artist dedicated to cultivating stories and developing creative opportunities that advocate for a future that not only demands, but honors the voices of underrepresented communities. Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Lucas is a recent graduate from the University of California, Irvine where he studied Drama and Political science. Recent credits include Here There Are Blueberries (La Jolla Playhouse/Tectonic Theater Project), Tiger Style! (South Coast Repertory), Blues for an Alabama Sky (Center Theatre Group), What I Learned In Paris (South Coast Repertory).

Max (he/him) is thrilled to be joining Seattle Rep this season! He is a recent Arizona State University graduate, where he earned his degree in theatrical production and design with a concentration in stage management. Enrique Bravo (he/him) is honored to be making his Seattle Rep debut. He is a founding member of both Theater Alaska and Generator Theater and has worked with Perseverance Theatre in Juneau, Alaska in over 30 productions. He was the Actor-In-Residence at Perseverance Theatre from 2013-2019 where he also received the Bishop Michael Kenny Award in recognition of long-term commitment to great artistry in the Theatre. Regionally he has worked at Harlequin Theatre, New York Theatre Festival, ENACT Theatre, Colonial Theatre, Bridgework Theatre, Mcleod Summer Playhouse, Austin Shakespeare, Blue Theatre, and FronteraFest. He received his B.F.A. in Regional Theatre from Webster Conservatory in St. Louis, MO and his M.F.A. in Theatre from the University of Texas in Austin.

Julie is a Co-Founder of The Seagull Project and the company’s current Artistic Producer. Roles with TSP include Arkadina in The Seagull, Olga in The Three Sisters, and Ranevskaya in The Cherry Orchard. She has been seen in numerous roles at Seattle Rep, most recently as Vera in Indecent, and Sugar in Tiny Beautiful Things. Other Seattle credits include: Linda in The Thin Place (ACT Theatre), Mrs. Malaprop in The Rivals (Seattle Shakespeare Company), and various Evil Queens and Witches at Seattle Children’s Theater. National credits include Yale Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Trinity Repertory Company, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, The Old Globe, and seven seasons as a member of The Guthrie Theater acting ensemble. Sunam Ellis (she/her) is grateful to make her Seattle Rep debut. Graduating from the UW Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) in 2015, she has since worked on local productions and readings with ACT, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle Public Theater, Sound Theatre Company, Theatre22, The Horse in Motion, ArtsWest, and The Seagull Project. Favorite local roles include Dorothy in Mrs. Caliban, Margery in Hand to God (Gregory Award recipient), and Bala in Sheathed (Gregory Award nominee). Sunam also teaches various theater courses at local universities, including Seattle University and UW.

Basil Harris (he/him) appeared at Seattle Rep in OR, and The Hound of the Baskervilles. He’s performed locally at ACT, Seattle Children's Theatre, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Village Theatre, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Town Hall Seattle. Jenny Vaughn Hall is grateful to spend the holidays working for the first time at Seattle Rep. She has been seen on stages at Village Theatre, Taproot Theatre Company, and most recently at Harlequin. In addition to acting Jenny is a yoga instructor and teaches courses on archetypal psychology. One of her favorite things about Christmas is her mom’s cinnamon rolls. Happy holidays everyone!

Isaiah Hyde (he/him) is so delighted to debut at the Seattle Rep. He started regionally acting last year with A Christmas Carol (Peter Cratchit/Young Fezziwig). Before professionally acting, he worked with Village Theatre KIDSTAGE and Studio East. Some favorite past roles he has played include: School of Rock (Billy), Matilda Jr. (Mr. Phelps), Newsies (Henry), and I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Honza). Other than preforming, Isaiah loves to write, dance, and sing. He thanks his friends and family for always supporting and being there for him through everything.

Terin Cho Jesty loves acting and singing. Mr. Dickens and His Carol is her first appearance in a professional production. She recently played Lefou and Elphaba in youth productions of Beauty and the Beast and Wicked and looks forward to participating in future productions.

Galen graduated from Western Washington University and headed south to join the Seattle area theater community in 2000. Since landing in town, he has worked with ACT (Moon for the Misbegotten, A Christmas Carol), Intiman (Crime and Punishment), Seattle Shakespeare Company, Seattle Children’s Theatre, Strawberry Theatre Workshop (The Laramie Project, Breaking the Code, The Bells, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The Memorandum, Prelude to a Kiss, Our Country’s Good) among others. He has also been involved in various film projects shot in the Pacific Northwest. This marks his first appearance at the Seattle Rep and he is thrilled to be here.

Izzy Richter (he/him) is in the 5th grade at Leschi Elementary school (go Bullpups!). This is his first professional theater production. He was previously seen as Little Boy in Wes Hurley's film Potato Dreams of America, and in several productions through Wedgwood Drama Camp, his favorite place on earth. He loves video games, is a voracious reader, is almost always singing out loud, and lives in a vibrant imaginary world of chase scenes and space battles about 53% of the time. Izzy is grateful to Braden and everyone at Seattle Rep for believing in him and supporting him through this process.

Mikayla Sanchez, 14, is so excited to portray Katie and the Second Lady, in her first performance at Seattle Rep. This is Mikayla’s 16th production since she started performing and loving the stage at the age of 7. Previous roles include: Hortensia/Matilda u/s in Matilda and Rebecca in XY (Village Theatre); Flora in Black Beauty (Seattle Children’s Theatre). Outside of acting, Mikayla loves to sing, dance, tap, do gymnastics, ice skate, and most of all, play with her puppy Eva. Mikayla is thankful for all the support of the Seattle Rep through this process and everyone involved throughout that has made theater such a welcoming place for her. 

MJ has been a member of the Seattle theater community since 2001 after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts. Since then he’s worked with Seattle Rep (Dry Powder, Outside Mullingar, Glengarry Glen Ross, Photograph 51, Twelfe Night). Other theaters include ACT (Oslo, The Crucible, Stupid Fucking Bird, Lieutenant of Inishmore), Intiman, Seattle Shakespeare, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Village Theatre, and was a founding member and artistic associate with New Century Theatre Company directing the West Coast premiere of Annie Bakers Pulitzer Prize winner The Flick. He’s also been featured in various film and TV projects and just directed the short film Prepared written by his incredible wife and partner Keiko Green. Brandon J. Simmons last appeared at Seattle Rep in True West. He has appeared with many Seattle theaters, including Book-It Repertory Theatre (Beowulf, The Picture of Dorian Gray), The Seagull Project (The Cherry Orchard, The Three Sisters, The Seagull), Seattle Public Theater (Amadeus), On the Boards (The People's Republic of Valerie), Washington Ensemble Theatre (Feathers & Teeth, Sextet), The Williams Project (A Bright Room Called Day) and numerous appearances with Seattle Shakespeare Company, perhaps most memorably as Olivia in Twelfth Night. Brandon is also a writer and director. He directed The Thin Place at A Contemporary Theatre (ACT), An Octoroon (ArtsWest), Alma (Theatre Battery), and well as his own play, Is She Dead Yet? (Annex Theatre). 

Annika Wanagel-Rojas is currently a sophomore at Eastside Preparatory School and has been performing in theater for six years. Previous credits include Village Theatre KIDSTAGE productions of The SpongeBob Musical as the Mayor, Into The Woods Jr. as Baker's Wife, and A Christmas Story: The Musical as Esther Jane. School productions include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Veruca Salt. She also trains at the Village Theatre KIDSTAGE Institute program.

Jonas (he/him) is elated to be in his first show at the Seattle Rep. Previous credits include Les Miserabbits (Speedwell), Prospect Theatre Company NYC; Hansel and Gretel and Heidi and Gunter (Gunter), Village Theatre Mainstage; Behold the Dreamers (Mighty), Book-It Repertory Theatre; Matilda (Bruce/Tommy), Village Theatre Mainstage; ZM (Billy Jr.), Village Theatre Beta Production. Jonas has been involved in theater since he was 7 years old performing in numerous junior productions at Seattle’s Performers. R. Hamilton Wright has appeared in over fifty productions at the Seattle Rep, the first being 1979’s The Taming of the Shrew directed by Dan Sullivan, and the latest being 2020’s The Children directed by Tim Bond. His original play Sherlock Holmes and The Vanishing Thimble premiered earlier this year at Vertigo Theatre in Calgary. The long running production of Bob and Katie’s Marriage recently celebrated its 26th anniversary. It has been extended indefinitely.
