In the wake of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, a humanitarian disaster is unfolding which tragically mirrors the crisis of 30 years ago, depicted in the book, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini.

Artists from the stage adaptation (Seattle Rep, Arena Stage, Old Globe) have come together to present three short readings from the novel followed by responses from Humaira Ghilzai and Freba Rezayee, who have been at the front lines of American and Canadian Afghan action and awareness.
