Screening of Days of Heaven & Panel Discussion

SIFF and Seattle Rep partnered around Seattle Rep’s production of True West to have a special screening event of Days of Heaven, featuring Sam Shepard (True West playwright) in his first on-screen role. There was a post-show panel discussion following the screening featuring:

• Braden Abraham, Seattle Rep Artistic Director and Director of True West
• Mary Ewald, Actress
• John Kazanjian, New City Artistic Director

The discussion covered topics of Sam Shepard’s career, the thematic overlap between True West and Days of Heaven, and how these artists approach Sam Shepard’s work. Nabra Nelson, Director of Arts Engagement at Seattle Rep, moderated the discussion.
