In order to make it a more useful and welcoming space for artists and audiences alike, Seattle Repertory Theatre is renovating the PONCHO Forum, our 33-year-old blackbox theatre. This venue is the primary creative space at the Rep, home to our New Play Program, and serves as the rehearsal hall for all of our mainstage productions. It also hosts audience engagement programs, youth arts education workshops, and special events serving nearly 5,000 people each year. The renovation will bring the PONCHO Forum into the 21st century by replacing the HVAC system, installing flexible modular seating, updating theatrical sound and lighting systems, adding new audiovisual equipment, and refreshing all flooring and wall treatments. These improvements will allow the Rep to better serve our community of artists and patrons as we foster new plays and engage with audiences around the work on our stages.
