Be a part of one of the largest and most active volunteer theater organizations in the nation: Seattle Rep Organization (SRO). 

SRO Inquiries

The Seattle Rep Organization is a 70+ member volunteer group established in 1963 for the purpose of supporting Seattle Rep. Through The Shop at the Rep, Themed Fundraisers, and four Service Projects, SRO donates more than $30,000 and over 3,800 volunteer hours each season.

The SRO provides refreshments for 20+ theater events, supports Interns and Apprentices, assembles subscriber materials for mailings, and volunteers at the Warren Street Reception Desk. Monthly Spotlight Meetings feature “Interviews with the Artists."

About the SRO

Do. See. Learn. Teach.
With the Seattle Rep Organization (SRO), you can see and do even more with Seattle Rep. You can meet the actors. Talk with the directors. Tour theaters in other cities like Ashland (Oregon Shakespeare Festival) and Portland. Work on special projects. Help fundraise. There is a long list of great ways to interact with us – and you can choose how to you want to participate. 

Raise Funds for Seattle Rep
Assist in organizing and staffing fundraising projects, and help develop new theater-related activities and events.

Fruit and Cookies Brigade
Support the artists behind the scenes by providing cookies, snacks, and fruit for actors and crew during Tech Week, education events, and receptions.

SRO Angels 
Plan and/or host special events to entertain and support Interns and Apprentices participating in Seattle Rep’s Professional Arts Training Program.

Office Volunteers
Provide vital support for the administrative staff and Patron Services Office for mailings and other large projects. SRO members also volunteer at the Warren Street Reception Desk.

C.A.V.O.R.T.
Attend the national Conference About Volunteers Of Regional Theatre (CAVORT) held biennially at select professional theaters.

Behind the Scenes
"Spotlight" interviews and luncheons are an opportunity to visit with cast members, theater artists and staff.

SRO Spotlight Schedule of Events:

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Interview with the Artists

The Interviews with the Artists are free and open to the public. Please RSVP in advance to secure your seat.

12-1 p.m.: Luncheon

The Luncheon portion of the Spotlight is by reservation only no later than the Friday prior to the Spotlight, and is accompanied by a $15 donation to the SRO. Luncheons are casual social events – a great way to get to know the SRO!
