A preliminary itinerary* is detailed below:

Tuesday, May 14, 2024

  • Welcome Reception
  • Evening Performance of Dugsi Dayz at the Royal Court Theatre
Detention on a Saturday? These four girls are keeping tight-lipped on why they’re there. When a power outage at the Mosque plunges them into darkness, the girls retell Somali folktales to break the ice. As they delve into their stories, they discover parallels that may just lead to friendship. Written by Sabrina Ali (Muna Knows it All) and directed by Poppy Clifford (Originally co-directed by Warda Mohamed), Dugsi Dayz is a riotous and authentic comedy exploring Somali, Muslim culture and female friendship, inspired by the 1985 movie The Breakfast Club

Wednesday, May 15, 2024

  • Matinee Performance of The Hills of California at Harold Pinter Theatre
A new play by Jez Butterworth (Olivier and Tony Award-winning playwright of the stage epics The Ferryman and Jerusalem), directed by frequent collaborator Sam Mendes (Oscar-winning director of American Beauty and 1917, and the stage sensation The Lehman Trilogy) in a limited run on the West End. Set at a seaside resort in 1976, this family drama centers on four sisters. So far little else is known about the plot, but the combined artistry of Butterworth and Mendes already makes the play a must-see event!
  • Three-Course, Pre-Show Dinner
  • Evening Performance of Long Day’s Journey Into Night at Wyndham's Theatre
Enjoy the rare chance to see American Playwright Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, with two of the most acclaimed stage and screen actors of our time: Brian Cox (HBO's Emmy-Winning Succession) and Patricia Clarkson (Broadway, West End, Film, and Television). The play depicts a summer day in the life of the Tyrones, closely based on O’Neill’s own chaotically dysfunctional family. Deeply moving and inspiring in equal measure, it’s a compelling story of love, hate, betrayal, addiction, and the impossible fragility of family bonds.

Thursday, May 16, 2024

  • Optional additional evening performance of ABBA Voyage at the ABBA Arena
A ground-breaking concert experience where digital avatars of ABBA take to the stage, blending cutting-edge technology, spectacular lighting, and some of the most beloved songs ever written.

  • Evening Performance of Much Ado About Nothing at Shakespeare's Globe
Welcome to a luxurious paradise in the Globe Theatre this summer as love in its many forms is celebrated in Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, Much Ado About Nothing. After years of war, an idyllic Italian town is finally back in bloom. But young lovers Claudio and Hero, and sparring singletons Beatrice and Benedick, soon discover that all is not as it seems in their beautiful surrounds as they become entangled in a series of mischievous games, pranks and plots. Globe Associate Artistic Director Sean Holmes directs this Elizabethan-dress production.

Saturday, May 18, 2024

  • Matinee Performance of London Tide at the National Theatre
It begins like this. With the dusk and the storm and the Thames…A storm rages and, in the darkest part of the night, a body is pulled from the swirling Thames. Across the city, two young women confront an uncertain future. In Limehouse, Lizzie Hexam struggles to break free of the river and its dark secrets. On the other side of town, Bella Wilfer mourns a lost marriage. The appearance of the mysterious John Rokesmith has the potential to change their lives for ever. Will they sink or swim? This romantic and propulsive thriller is a hymn to the city and the river that runs through it. Directed by Ian Rickson (Translations) and adapted by Ben Power (The Lehman Trilogy), with original songs throughout, the genius of Dickens meets the fierce musical imagination of acclaimed singer-songwriter, PJ Harvey.
  • Three-Course, Pre-show Dinner
  • Evening Performance of Guys and Dolls at The Bridge Theatre
The Bridge transforms for one of the greatest musicals of all time in this immersive theatrical extravaganza that transports you to the streets of Manhattan and the bars of Havana in the unlikeliest of love stories. One of the hottest tickets in London, this production is re-imagined by legendary director Nicholas Hytner (longtime Artistic Director of the National Theatre, and the original director of Miss Saigon) in his latest theatrical venture with a custom-built venue to put the audience in (and surrounded by) the action.
