About Pocket Nichos
Altars, retablos, and Nichos are an art form in many Latinx cultures. Nichos, or three-dimensional tin frames, are traditionally used for pictures of loved ones or as portable shrines for patron saints. Using provided tins and supplies, you will create a mixed-media assemblage using markers, textiles, collaged items, and small objects with personal mementos to encapsulate what is important to you!
