Ahamefule J. Oluo (they/he) is a Seattle-raised multi-instrumentalist, composer, writer, comedian, and creator of live performance. They were a founding member of experimental jazz quartet Industrial Revelation, Mellon Creative Research Fellow, Creative Capital awardee, Artist Trust Arts Innovators recipient, and semi-finalist in NBC’s Stand Up for Diversity competition. Oluo co-produced two comedy albums by Hari Kondabolu and one by Dwayne Kennedy. They premiered critically acclaimed performances Now I’m Fine (2016) and SUSAN (2020) at The Public Theater’s Under the Radar Festival. They wrote for stop-motion animated comedy “Santa Inc.” on HBO Max, starring Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen. They have appeared on This American Life. Now I’m Fine was adapted into the film Thin Skin, which Oluo wrote, scored, and starred in. They have been commissioned, presented, or invited by Under the Radar, On the Boards, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, UW’s Meany Center, the Clarice, STG, Wa Na Wari, Langston, REDCAT, and more. They were recently an artist-in-residence at MacDowell. They reside on Twana lands on the Olympic Peninsula..

Roya Amirsoleymani (she/her) is a freelance curator, writer, producer, and project manager in contemporary art and performance. Across her practice, she strives to support artists’ labor and livelihoods and champion artists of the global majority. From 2017-2023, she was Co-Artistic Director & Curator at Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA), where she curated and organized visual art exhibitions, dance, theater, public programs, artist residencies, grantmaking initiatives, and the Time-Based Art Festival. She has taught at the M.F.A. level; lectured and presented at conferences, convenings, and festivals; written for journals and publications; served on grant and award panels; and participated in and consulted with international cultural exchange programs. She is a member of the International Presenting Commons. In a newly independent capacity, she works with organizations and individual artists and is developing a long-form, experimental narrative and archival project about death and friendship. She holds a B.A. in Contemporary Visual Culture & Gender Studies and M.A. in Arts Management. She lives on Twana lands on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.
