Branden Jacobs-Jenkins is a playwright and producer, winner of the 2025 Pulitzer Prize for Drama (Purpose) and the 2024 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play (Appropriate). Other theater credits include The Comeuppance, Girls, Everybody (Pulitzer Finalist), War, Gloria (Pulitzer Finalist), An Octoroon (Obie Award), and Neighbors. Honors: USA Artists, Guggenheim, and MacArthur fellowships; Windham-Campbell Prize for Drama; the inaugural Tennessee Williams Award. Branden teaches at Yale University and is currently writing the book for the upcoming stage adaptation of Purple Rain.

Seattle based actor, director and educator, Timothy was seen at Seattle Rep as film producer, David Brown in Bruce. Previous directing credits at the Rep include Fat Ham, A Raisin in the Sun, and As You Like It. The Color Purple, Hello, Dolly!, Hairspray, and Dreamgirls at Village Theatre, A Raisin in the Sun at Pittsburgh Public Theater among others. He is a recipient of the 2015 Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship, the Gregory Falls Sustained Achievement Award, and 3 Gregory Awards, 3 The Sound on Stage Awards among other honors. He is currently a professor of theater at Cornish College of the Arts.

Deborah L Armstrong (she/her) received a B.A. in Music from Lincoln Christian University. This is Deborah’s 1st production at Seattle Rep. Deborah has been an Accompanist, Music Director, Artistic Director, and Drama/Musical Theater Teacher in the Puget Sound Region for 30 years, including the Director of Education at Lakewood Institute of Theatre for 9 years. She will be eternally grateful for her husband Ed’s embrace of the chaos of a theatrical career, and when Deborah retires from herding theatre folk, she plans to settle on a small farm and herd cats, because that would be easier.
