What does "Standby" mean?

Being a Standby patron means you have a reserved spot in line to receive any empty seats in the theater for a specific performance. Empty seats become available when a ticketed patron changes their performance date, no-shows, etc.

How Standby Works

  • $38 Standby tickets will be available for every performance of Come From Away. On the day of the show you're looking to attend, call the Box Office between 12–6 p.m. by phone or stop by the Seattle Rep Box Office in person (155 Mercer St.).
  • Seats are not guaranteed at time of purchase. Stop by the Box Office when you get to the theater. Upon arrival, you may be given a seat assignment, or you will receive a Standing Room ticket and directions from an usher to the Standing Room waiting zone.
  • Ushers or house management will direct you to any empty seats as the show is starting. If the original ticket holder for your seat arrives, you will be asked to move and may be reassigned or asked to stand.

Standing Requirement

  • If no seats are available, Standby patrons will receive a Standing Room spot in the theater to view the show. You must be willing and able to stand for the full 1 hour and 40 minute performance (with no intermission).
  • Sitting on the floor or leaning on walls/railings is prohibited
  • If you purchase a Standby ticket and are unable to stand for the duration of the performance, you will be given the option to exchange into Standby for another performance
