Heart of Washington Fall 2025 Food Drive

November 7, 2025–January 4, 2026

Lobby

This fall, Seattle Rep is partnering with WashMasks Mutual Aid on their #HeartofWashington campaign in support of Washington farmworkers and their families. This annual drive (now in its sixth year!) will be supporting the delivery of 300 cultural food boxes for farm-working families in Ephrata, Mount Vernon, Sunnyside, and Wenatchee. With food access needs on the rise, community efforts make powerful differences.

Washington's phenomenal farm workers are behind nearly all we eat and drink. They are the hands that make our favorite rainy-day soup or chilled drink on a hot afternoon possible. Let us come together as a community to show our gratitude to those who feed us.

What Can I Donate?

  • Dried Chilis (New México, Guajillo, or California)
  • Ibarra (Mexican hot chocolate)
  • Fideos (short, thin noodles, similar to vermicelli)
  • Hominy
  • Masa (corn flour)
  • Tortillas
  • Oatmeal
  • Pancake Mix

Why Specific Food Items?

We gather specific cultural foods due to requests of the communities we partner with. This honors their heritage and shows care and respect. Food is culture. Food is healing. Food is love.

What is Mutual Aid?

Mutual aid is an act of solidarity among communities and neighbors. Mutual aid work happens when communities work collaboratively in addressing community needs.
