Rebecca Cort graduated from Western Washington University with an acting degree where she delved into techniques such as Linklater, Suzuki, Grotowski, Viewpoints, Shakespeare, Stanislavski, Commedia dell'arte, and devising. She has been acting professionally in both musicals and plays in the Seattle area for the last seven years, having worked at the 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Village Theatre, Taproot Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Harlequin Productions, and more.

Her teaching career began in college when she TA'd several of her favorite classes, Movement /Grotowski and Commedia dell'arte, under the guidance of Rich Brown, PHD. Post-grad, she taught acting and dance to students at The Redmond Academy of Theatre Arts for two years, and has now found what she is most drawn to is teaching adults and teens.

Rebecca founded Cort Studios two years ago and has since developed multiple classes and introduced this technique to dozens of students who have expressed meaningful lifelong impact from this work.
