Kimberly Belflower is a playwright and educator originally from a small town in Appalachian Georgia. Her play, Lost Girl, is published by Samuel French and won the 2018 Kennedy Center Darrell Ayers National Playwriting Award. Her other plays include John Proctor is the Villain, Gondal, Teen Girl FANtasies, and The Sky Game, which have been commissioned, produced, and developed by Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, The Farm Theatre, We the Women Collective, Peppercorn Theatre, Less Than Rent Theatre, Front Porch Arts Collective, Cohen New Works Festival, as well as many colleges and universities across the country.

Kimberly has also worked as a writer and narrative lead for Meow Wolf, Santa Fe's celebrated immersive arts company. Kimberly was a founding member of the New York women’s writing group, The Beehive Collective, and the founder of a creative arts program for preteen girls in Austin. She proudly holds an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin and is an Assistant Professor of Dramatic Writing, Theater Studies and Assistant Professor of Dramatic Writing, Creative Writing at Emory College.

Deanna Martinez (she/her) is an accomplished director, performer, playwright, and educator whose work spans theater, film, television, and voiceover. Her recent directing credits include The Outsiders (Seattle Rep) Steel Magnolias (Tacoma Little Theatre), Descendants (Tacoma Musical Playhouse), and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Tacoma Arts Live). On stage, she has appeared as Claudia in In the Heights (Tacoma Musical Playhouse), Patricia in El Coqui (Centerstage), and Elmire in Tartuffe (New Muses). As a playwright, her works include the one-woman show Pineapple Princess and the new musical Rapture in a Dark Church, written with composer Daniel Wolfert.

Deanna serves as Director of Education and Community Programs at Seattle Rep, where she oversees Rep Studios, encompassing Young Rep, Rep Pro, Rep Connect, and Rep Educators. Through these programs, she cultivates pathways for creative growth, professional training, and community engagement across all levels of artistry. Under her leadership, Seattle Rep’s education initiatives empower young people, emerging professionals, and educators to explore theater as both craft and catalyst for change. Her direction of the Next Narrative Monologue Competition has also guided local students to national recognition at the historic Apollo Theater in New York City.

An award-winning director and Master Teaching Artist, Deanna has taught and coached young performers at The 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Seattle Opera, and Tacoma Arts Live. Many of her former students have gone on to careers in professional theater, film, and television—reflecting her commitment to excellence in arts education and mentorship. Her teaching is grounded in the philosophies of Paulo Freire and Jonathan Kozol, centering equity, representation, and the transformative power of theater.

Deanna holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Art and a Post-Graduate Teacher Certification from the University of Washington.

Josh is a sound designer/composer, and musician in the Greater Seattle area where their work can be heard in many houses. They’re a recipient of the 2024 Gregory Award for Outstanding Sound Design for June is the First Fall (Yun Theatre). They’ve assisted on both Laughs in Spanish and The Play That Goes Wrong (Seattle Rep), Golden (UAC), sound designed for The Humans (Sound Theatre Company), and Dream, Carl, Dream (Dacha Theatre). Josh is also a producer for Pork Filled Productions. Aside from theatre, they work for the Seattle Promise scholarship program, is a DJ, and plays drums for YUELAN.
