Join Seattle Rep and the Holocaust Center for Humanity for a special event in observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On Sunday, January 25, beginning at 6:30 p.m., we invite our community to come together for a 7:30 p.m. performance of Tectonic Theater Project’s Here There Are Blueberries, followed by a post-show talkback.
Seattle's Holocaust Center for Humanity is a museum and educational center dedicated to preserving Holocaust history with an emphasis on local stories. Learning about the Holocaust helps us understand how ordinary people and institutions can be drawn into systems of hatred and violence—and how others chose to resist. It reveals the fragility of democracy, structures of oppression, and the consequences of indifference. By studying this important history, we honor the victims, confront the complexities of human behavior, and reflect on what it means to act with responsibility and humanity today.
Founded in 1989, the Holocaust Center for Humanity partners with educators, students, community groups, and individuals across the Pacific Northwest to provide teaching materials, public programs, exhibits, and opportunities to learn directly from Holocaust survivors and their descendants. The Holocaust Center inspires people of all ages to confront hatred, promote human dignity, and take action. Located in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, the museum features permanent and rotating exhibits that bring these stories and lessons to life.
