Beezus B. Murphy (she/her/hers) graduated from The Center School on June 14 and will be attending Seattle Central this fall. She is a lifelong activist as well as an avid enjoyer and creator of both visual and written arts, having written and published her autobiography My Mom Had An Abortion with the help of the Seattle-based organization Shout Your Abortion. She’s previously played Mrs. Potts in Beauty and The Beast, Annie in Chicago, and Logainne Schwartzandgrubnierre in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. This is her first professional role. She would like to thank her parents, for always believing in her. Her younger sister Minnow, for always giving her lots of love and cuddles. Her older sister Elena, for always detangling her dolls’ hair and keeping her company when she was lonely. And her drama teacher Beverly Lackey for believing in her, pushing her to be the best she can be, and helping her mature as an artist. She is also currently working on a play of her own and looks forward to her future in the Seattle theater scene.

Braden Colaner is a junior is at the Center School who loves to act. He always wanted to preform onstage, and finally got the chance in the 4th grade, when he was cast in the chorus for his school musical. Since then, he has participated in 12 different musicals! His most recent role was the nasally nerd, William Barfeé in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. He would like to thank Bob and Angela Gribas of Variety Plus (community theater he recommends for any new actor) for helping him discover his love of character acting, his current director, Beverly Lackey, who’s helped him improve his range as an actor, and the wonderful writing staff and crew of this production! Braden is enthusiastic to work with Seattle Rep, and hopes you enjoy the show!

Heba Al. is a sophomore (soon to be junior) at the Downtown School. She started to get involved with the arts ever since Brian (her English teacher) had her class read a play by Arthur Miller. She and a couple of classmates would assign each other roles in the play, and read them aloud. She liked it so much because she felt like she was a completely different person and she liked being able to see different points of view. Heba has also never been involved in any other show, so this is her first! She would also like to thank Brian for being super supportive of her and helping her become more comfortable with acting. She would also just like to thank him for giving her and her class countless opportunities to act, and just doing everything he could to allow us to be more comfortable with it.

Nova Rietberg is a sophomore at the Downtown School. They love theater because they love making characters come to life. Shows that they have been in in the past include She Kills Monsters where they played Tilly and numerous musicals. They are really excited to put on this play and bring Clyde to life! He would like to thank his moms and dad for late night rehearsal pick ups and endless support, their teacher Brian Crawford for telling them about this opportunity in the first place, and Kathleen and Frankie from Hi-Liners Musical Theater for giving them the skills and igniting their passion for theater.

Lukas Warren is a soon-to-be-senior at The Center School who dove headfirst into acting this year. Like his character, he spends too much time making art and not enough doing homework, according to his teachers. They've performed in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at The Center School as well as helped produce two original student written plays at TCS: The Ballad of Frank and Cretaceous Field. He would like to thank his theater teacher Ms. Beverly for helping him find this joy in theater, and all the lovely Alexes that kept him going happily through the stress.

Lucy Sera is so excited to be performing in this production of Party in the Bathroom! She has always loved expressing herself through art and creativity. Particularly, since fourth grade when she first started to see how theater connects people and allows us to share stories and experiences. Lucy has been a part of many productions at her school, Assumption St Bridget. Most notably, she played the role of Meg in Little Women in this past year. She is so grateful for all the people she’s met and the experience she’s had while participating in Party in the Bathroom. She would like to thank her kind and supportive family, as well as her fellow actors who have helped her taught her many important lessons along the way.

Thea is so thrilled to be making her Seattle Rep debut in Party in the Bathroom! She most recently directed, choreographed, and music directed a multi-award winning production of A Most Average Musical in the Tacoma area. Thea can be seen on screen as Hannah in Sophia Chew’s film Precious. Onstage, she has portrayed Connie in A Chorus Line, Smee in Peter and the Starcatcher, All Together Now, Eponine in Les Miserables, and will be seen in CampTMP’s Footloose this summer. This fall she will attend Azusa Pacific University to obtain a B.F.A. in Screen & Stage Acting. Thea would like to say Salamat to everyone who supports her, for the production team’s support in transportation and art, and Leah for doing this show with her!

Shalonia Wonch has been a teaching artist for Seattle Rep since 2019 and is super happy to be involved in the theater's first Youth Works Festival as both a teaching artist and stage manager! Shalonia is an educator, actor, stage manager, director, and photographer local to Seattle, WA. Having received her M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, along with her B.F.A. in Theatre & Film from the University of Idaho, Shalonia is passionate about the arts and helping young people discover themselves, hone their craft and expand their creatively. As a stage manager, Shalonia has had the pleasure of working for Bellevue Youth Theatre, University of Washington Tacoma, as well as Idaho Repertory Theatre. When not working on her own craft or as an educator, Shalonia likes to spend time with her cat Iago and her partner Alex. She would love to thank Alex for always believing in her, and pushing her to expand, as well as explore!

Donovan is a multi-disciplinary theater artist and deep believer in accessible, community-based art. They are the Public Works Apprentice at Seattle Rep and a company member with Dacha Theatre. Their most recent production credits include A Year with Frog and Toad (Costume Designer, Twelfth Night Productions) and Much Ado About Nothing (Associate Director, Dacha Theatre). Auburn D'Artell (he/they) is a 19-year-old queer neurodivergent actor who is a cosplayer, lover of Dungeons and Dragons, artist, and Youth Leader at ORBIT on Vashon Island. They are graduating high school this year. He loves all things fashion, voice over, writing, dance, musical theater, wig styling and character design. He played in Drama Dock's 2019 performance of She Kills Monsters as Chuck. They were in ensemble at Vashon High School's Mamma Mia and played Zapo in Picnic on The Battlefield. He played Cat in The Hat in Seussical the Musical as well as many roles in 11 Shakespeare play performances as a part of ShakesKids on Vashon. Rudy Sorensen (he/him) is a massive fan of live theatre of all kinds. He started acting mid-pandemic in the summer of 2021, and since then he has been in multiple shows with Penguin Productions. He’s going into his freshman year at Ballard High. When he’s not acting, he enjoys learning cool space facts and reading classic Russian literature. He’s so excited to be performing as Edward for you all this weekend!

Kendall Cherry is thrilled to perform her original writing for her solo show titled Roots. Kendall is 15 years old and is a 10th grader who attends Inglemoor High School, where she studies in theatrical arts. In the last year, she starred in the musical theater production of Set Your Sails with Broadway Bound and performed in her school’s production of The Missing Case of Peter Thompson. She now is currently in the process of partaking in the production of The Addams Family.  Kendall is very enthusiastic and passionate about musical theater, theater itself, and writing poetry. She would like to thank her parents, and her mentor and director Allyson Brown for encouraging her to take risks and reach for the stars!
