Post-Show Workshop
Rehearse the Revolution
Saturday, March 19
Following the performance, participants will use text from the script to embody characters and explore the narrative in an interactive way. We will explore a specific scene from the play, relate it to our own experiences, and step into the world of the play through improv exercises that literally change the narrative. Join us for a unique post-show experience that will make you think about the production in brand new ways.
This is workshop is part of a pilot Theater of the Oppressed-based program entitled "Rehearse the Revolution." The program uses theatre games to have robust community conversation, examine topics of racial equity and social justice, and engage in interactive literary analysis of plays in our season.
“Perhaps the theatre is not revolutionary in itself, but it is surely a rehearsal for the revolution." - Augusto Boal, Theatre of the Oppressed
