Go to New York City with Seattle Rep!

October 24 - 27, 2019

Join Seattle Rep in New York City for a theater lover's dream trip, featuring a slate of stirring new work personally selected by Artistic Director Braden Abraham, and culminating in the Broadway premiere of The Great Society. Co-commissioned by Seattle Rep from Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan, and directed by Bill Rauch, The Great Society was on our Bagley Wright stage in 2014 and now has a limited run at Lincoln Center.

Hosted by Braden Abraham and Managing Director Jeffrey Herrmann, this trip offers guests a unique opportunity to experience New York theater from an insider's perspective. Shared meals and performances ensure travelers get to know one another, building friendships that last beyond the return to Seattle.

Thursday, October 24:
Kick off the weekend with a Welcome Reception where you'll meet fellow theater lovers, then head to The Hayes Theater to see Steppenwolf's production of Linda Vista, written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts. The Wall Street Journal exclaims, it "might just be Mr. Letts' best play yet!"

Friday, October 25:
Start the night with a reception featuring heavy appetizers, wine, beer, and signature cocktails before we head to Playwrights Horizons to see the world premiere of Heroes of the Fourth Turning by Will Arbery.

Saturday, October 26:
It's a night to celebrate! After enjoying a decadent dinner, we'll head to the Vivian Beaumont Theater for The Great Society. And just because the show ends doesn't mean the evening has to! Join us for a hosted post-show reception with late-night bites and drinks.

Sunday, October 27:
Celebrate the end of the trip with new friends over a glass of bubbly and brunch.

The cost of the trip is $1,750 per person. (Does not include airfare or accommodation. $600 of this is tax-deductible).

We hope you will join us in NYC!
