Charles Dickens should be looking forward to Christmas. But when his latest book is a flop, his publishers give him an ultimatum: either he writes a Christmas book in a month or they will call in his debts and he could lose everything. In true Dickens style, this is a tale of ghosts and secrets, set in the heart of Victorian England.

Samantha Silva is an author and screenwriter based in Idaho. She has sold film projects to Paramount, Universal, and New Line Cinema. Mr. Dickens and His Carol, her debut novel, was published by Flatiron Books (2017). Her short film script, The Big Burn, won the 1 Potato Short Screenplay Award at the 2017 Sun Valley Film Festival, and premiered the next year. Her short story, “Leo in Venice,” appeared in One Story (September 2019). Love and Fury: A Novel of Mary Wollstonecraft, will be published by Flatiron Books in 2021. Silva has a Masters in International Affairs from Johns Hopkins University, and is a 2020 Idaho Commission on the Arts Literature Fellow.
