Seattle Rep invites actors of all gender identities, ethnic backgrounds, disabilities, and neurodiversities to attend in-person general auditions to be considered for the 2025/26 Season.
Please Note
IMPORTANT: You are already in consideration and are not required to attend general auditions if you:
- have worked at Seattle Rep in the 2024/25 Season (including New Work Development)
- attended Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) Generals February 24–28, 2025
- attended The Play That Goes Wrong or Fancy Dancer EPAs on March 4, 2025
You must be at least 18 years of age at the time of audition to attend. Youth auditions for individual productions will be held as needed.

What to Prepare
Please bring a headshot or photo AND a resume or list of experience.
Please prepare either two brief contrasting monologues, OR a brief monologue and a brief song in the style of our season not exceeding three minutes.
An accompanist will be provided Thursday, May 1 and Friday, May 2. Please bring sheet music properly marked and in the correct key.
If you would like to audition for Come From Away, please prepare a brief song selection and accompany yourself on an instrument of your choice. Find additional details for Come From Away below.

Diane & Others: A traditional divorcee from Texas who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he’s safe, she’s given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder, more carefree side of herself. Female-identifying. 50s‑60s. Bonnie & Others: A no-nonsense mother of 3, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety—but in frustration, she often lashes out at those around her. 30s-40s. Mezzo with belt up to B. Beverley & Others: The first female captain for American Airlines Pilot, Beverley Bass has always loved flying, when her world suddenly changes. Also play Annette, a local teacher at the Gander Academy and mother to a lot of children. Female-identifying. 40s-50s. Strong mezzo with an easy mixed or belted C#. Intermediate-expert musician.
Oz & Others: The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town’s population suddenly doubles, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Male-identifying. 30s-50s. Strong contemporary Tenor up to G. Intermediate-expert musician.
Kevin T & Others: The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary, also named Kevin), when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town’s generosity, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. Also plays President Bush and Garth, the head of the local union, representing the Bus Drivers. Male-identifying. 30s-40s. Strong contemporary Tenor up to G. Intermediate-expert musician.
Kevin J & Others: Kevin T’s boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy, he wants to leave Gander as soon as possible. Also plays Ali. Male-identifying. 30s‑40s. Middle Eastern North African or any ethnicity. Tenor or Baritenor. Novice-expert musician.
Bob & Others: A hardened New Yorker, Bob is suspicious of where he’s landed, fearing that it’s World War 3, that someone going to shoot him and steal his wallet – but instead, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. Also plays Muhumuza. Male-identifying. 20s–40s. Black or any ethnicity. Baritone. Novice-expert musician.
Claude & Others: The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander, Newfoundland, Claude loves his work, the townspeople, and his daily traditions—but he’s never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. Male-identifying. 40s‑60s. Gruff, natural sounding Baritone with a strong high G. Intermediate-expert musician.
Nick & Others: An English oil engineer who is focused on his work, Nick’s life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Also plays Doug, an Air Traffic Controller, married to Bonnie, who tries to help his wife and the animals. Male-identifying. 50s-60s.
