Mohammad Shehata, Abe
Mohammad’s work ranges from Shakespeare (Bottom; Mark Antony) and modern classics (Vershinin in Three Sisters; Wally O’Hara in The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window) to experimental plays (Edgar in Lear by Young Jean Lee; Shavi in I Call My Brothers by Jonas Hassen Khemiri) and groundbreaking immersive theatre. He is a core ensemble member of the Ubuntu Theatre Project, an acclaimed site-specific company emphasizing compassion and community; and this summer he will be playing Romeo for We Players, one of the most recognized immersive, site-integrated theatre companies in the country. He studied International Politics and Theatre at the University of California, San Diego (BA, 2015). He learned to read Classical Arabic from a young age. Mohammad is thrilled to make his Seattle Rep debut with Disgraced, and he looks forward to continuing his work in regional theatres and on Broadway.
