Student Matinee: October 17 and Thursday, October 25, 2012

Scott’s Notes: This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce students to the rich history of the Pullman porters, including the formation of the first African-American labor organization. We will be working with the Northwest African-American Museum to create workshops and study materials that focus on local connections to the Pullman porters, as many former porters and their descendants still live in the area. Oh, and did I mention the live blues music? These matinee performances are certain to sell out so please consider booking a matinee and workshop soon!
