Tickets for: A Rap On Race

Sorry, but the performance you have selected is not available at this time.
In the Leo K. Theatre

This exciting new work centers on the iconic 1970 recorded conversation between writer James Baldwin and anthropologist Margaret Mead. Donald Byrd (Tony Nominated/Bessie Award Winner) in collaboration with Anna Deavere Smith (Pulitzer Nominated/MacArthur Winner) will use various renditions of this dramatic conversation between these two singular 20th Century voices. A Rap On Race will reenergize the current conversation around race in America, and challenge the conventional borders between live dance and theater.
