Kaytlin McIntyre – Casting Director

What is your favorite project you’ve worked on and why?
My favorite project to work on would be the Writers Group Showcase, a series of eight new play readings. It’s sheer madness: there are new pages printing in every printer, writers napping on every couch, dozens of actors roaming the halls, and delicious stories being carved out before our eyes. I love it!

What is your biggest accomplishment as a Casting Director?
Working on the casts for readings and workshops is the most challenging part of my job, but often the most rewarding. It’s all about instinct, trust, and taking risks.

What do you enjoy the most about your job?
Casting is typically the first step in a production. I love being a part of the early moments and helping the director assemble the team and the vision.
