Jasmine B. Gunter is beyond excited to be joining Seattle Repertory Theatre as the Directing/Casting Intern for the 2018-2019 season. She is an early-career director with a BA in Theatre Performance and a minor in Dance and Spanish from Winthrop University. She is also a proud member of the Stage Director Choreographer (SDC) Society. Some of her most impressive credits include a membership into the Stage Directors Choreographers Foundation Observership class of 2017-2018, assistant director for Nina Simone: Four Women (Arena Stage), assistant director for Beauty and the Beast (Berkshire Theatre Group), assistant director for The Luckiest People (Actors Theatre of Charlotte in conjunction with the NNPN), and director for Reasons to be pretty (Winthrop University). As well as being a freelance director, Jasmine has a wealth of experience as a teaching artist. She taught playwriting/acting for the Berkshire Theatre Group as an Artist in Resident and was a movement/viewpoints instructor for the Redhouse Arts Center in Syracuse. This summer, Jasmine is currently directing in the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals in New York City.
