As the founding father of our theatre, Bagley Wright's death is a loss of huge and resonating proportion. In
the time that I have had the privilege of sharing with Bagley over the years, I have never met his equal -- as
a man of culture, vision, sharp wit, sophistication and a veritable torch of civic leadership and philanthropy.
All of us at the Rep share both deep sadness for this loss and resounding gratitude for having been blessed
to live in a community that has been so profoundly shaped by this man and his vision. We just have to follow his
example as best we can.
