Mercer Corridor Project

The Seattle Department of Transportation has begun the three-year project turning Mercer Street between I-5 and Dexter Avenue into a multi-lane, two-way road. Read on for the current road closures that may affect how you to get to the theatre.

May 9 – May 11: One lane on the south side of Mercer St. between 5th Ave. N and Dexter Ave. N will be closed for utility work. Closure hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 p.m., weekdays.

Additionally, the SR 99 Broad St. off-ramp will be fully closed to traffic beginning April 13 – June 20. Closure hours are 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

As of April 5, 2012

May 2 – May 3: Westbound Broad St. between 9th Ave. N and Westlake Ave. N will be closed at night from 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

As of April 26, 2012

Beginning Tuesday, Mar 6 through mid-Apr, the southbound right lane of Aurora (SR-99) between Republican St and John St will be closed 24/7. The lane closure, related to the SR-99 tunnel, will allow crews to relocate utilities so that they may begin building the SR 99 tunnel’s north portal, which will be located near Harrison St between 6th Ave N and Aurora.

Taking the bus to the Rep? Bus Routes 17 and 30 have been rerouted to accommodate construction. Biking here? The east sidewalk of 9th Ave. N between Broad St. and Mercer St. has been closed.
