Benjamin Moore

Benjamin Moore came to Seattle Rep in December 1985 following a 15-year association with the
American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco where he held the positions of production director,
general manager, and managing director. Mr. Moore has led Seattle Rep through compliance for a
National Arts Stabilization grant, construction of the Leo K. Theatre (Seattle Rep's second stage), and 23
operating cycles with no accumulated deficit. Mr. Moore was the chairman of the Seattle Arts Commission
in 1989 and was appointed to the Washington State Arts Commission in 2001. He has been the chair of
the I.A.T.S.E. Local 15 Health and Welfare Trust since 1994 and is currently serving on the board of the
Tessitura Network, Inc. Mr. Moore has been a peer panelist and evaluator for the NEA, a consultant for
The Bush Foundation in Minneapolis, and a member of the boards of the Theatre Communications Group
and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Moore received a Senior Fellowship and a B.A. from
Dartmouth College and an M.F.A. in Arts Administration from Yale University School of Drama.
